Sanna Annuka (b. 1983) is half British - half Finnish but since her work is mostly inspired by Finnish nature and folklore, I rank her under Finnish illustrators. She has designed for Marimekko and yes, her illustrations are surely influenced by this. However, her illustrations in books are stunning, for example "The fir tree", a fairy tale by Christian Andersen.
